Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Temples in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Depart Saigon for two hour drive to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels. This fascinating tour will give you insight on how the Viet Cong managed to conceal themselves throughout the war. Upon arrival, we will watch a brief black and white introductory film documentary which shows the war from a different perspective. After the film, we will take a walk through the compound to experience the life of 10,000 Viet Cong who took part in the 1968 Tet Offensive, a coordinated series of fierce attacks on more than 100 towns and cities in South Vietnam.

After Cu Chi, we continue to drive to Tay Ninh to visit the Holy Cao Dai Temple and attend the mid-day service.

Enjoy lunch and stop at Ba Den Mountain before heading back to Saigon in the early evening

4 days Sapa Tour

Sapa, known as the Former French Hill Station, is a capital town of Sapa District in northwest Vietnam. It is one of the main market towns in the area, where several ethnic minority groups such as Xa Pho, Red ao and White Hmong live.

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrive in Sapa

Meet and greet at the airport in the morning. Enjoy lunch and check in to the hotel before visiting Tram Ton Pass. At 2,047 meters above sea level, it is the highest pass in Vietnam. Enjoy amazing views of the montains and lush forests of the Hoang Lien National Park. Continue with short 30 minutes easy trekking trough the parks tropical rain forest to explore its wonderful flora and fauna. Follow the stream and discover Silver Waterfall/Love Waterfall.

Day 2 - Sapa Minorites (B, L)

Today we will visit lowest valley of Sapa. Photo stops along the way for breathtaking views of beautiful rice and cornfield terrace. Journey to Ban Ho, My Son and Nam Cang villages where the minorities such as Xa Pho, Red Zao and White Hmong live. Two hour trekking to explore the beautiful nature of the valley with its stunning view of rice terraces, buffalo houses on stilts and mountains.

Day 3 - Market tour (B, L)

Drive two hours away to the mountain area and discover one of the four colorful market of the minorities. Depending on the day of your travel, you may visit Cao Son on Wednesday, Bac Ha on Sunday, Can Cau on Saturday, or Coc Ly on Tuesday.

Cao Son, Wednesday Market: Take a dirt road which leads to a tiny markets up in the mountains surrounded by pine trees and local villages. Ethnic minorities such as Flower Hmong, Tu Dim Tay and Giay trade food, agricultural supplies and fabric in the market. Lunch at Muong Khuong Village before visiting a quiet village to observe some traditional paractices in making corn wine and bacon. Stop at a local house to taste home made corn cake.

Bac Ha, Sunday Market: Located at different area, this is a big market where ethnic minorities such as Phu La, Dao Tuyen and Flower Hmong sell traditional handicraft products. Lunch at the local restaurant before driving to Trung Do Village for a short walking tour around Trung Do Village to see traditional Tay house where Tay minority lives. Continue by boat to neighboring Bao Nhai Village.

Can Cau, Saturday Market: Drive to the mountainous China border where the market is located. Open only on Saturday, many vendors wear their best traditional clothes to the market. If you are an avid photographer, this is a great opportunity for photo shoots of the bright and vibrant color of their traditonal wears. Visit Bac Ha town for lunch before visiting Trung Do Village for a short walking tour to see traditional Tay house where Tay minority lives. Continue by boat to neighboring Bao Nhai Village.

Coc Ly, Tuesday Market: Located on the mountainous area by the Chay River, this is another popular market among ethnic minorities of Flower Hmong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen, to trade local products. Explore the market in the morning before taking a boat ride to Na Nen Village, home to Flower Hmong minority people. Continue to Trung Do Village for a short walking tour to see traditional Tay house where Tay minority lives. Picnic lunch at the local house and continue the boat tour to enjoy the river banks magnificent views.
